Hello Horizons Members,

A few updates:

Five candidates, but just three seats open!  Meet the Candidates Night, Tuesday, 10/3, 6pm. Remember to VOTE!

Join your neighbors on Monday, 9/25 in the ST Lobby at 5pm to walk to the Library for Swing Dance Lessons at 6:30, or meet at the Library Roof.

The North Tower circle drive entrance & pool area planters have been waterproofed. Our new landscapers will install plants the week of 9/25.

A Leak Control System (LCS) to help prevent copper piping common area pinhole leaks was installed on 9/22.

Before painting continues, the equipment servicing must be complete.  The hoist is nearly finished and still needs new wire ropes and power cords that must be replaced every two years.  We will continue to update you when we have the projected date the painting will resume.


Free Swing Dancing Lessons at the Library Roof on September 11th & 25th

Free Swing Dancing Lessons Tonight – Horizons Residents meet at the South Tower Lobby at 5 PM tonight to walk to the Downtown Central Library or meet at the Rooftop of the Library at 6:30 PM.

Horizons Residents,

Join your fellow neighbors for Last-Sunday Movie-Social on September 24 at 5 PM in the South Tower to view The Cider House Rules.

Exterior Building Painting Project Postponed

Horizons Residents,

Painting project has been postponed.  A short while ago a life/safety component of the davit arm hoist developed a crack. This equipment is necessary to complete painting and window washing on the exterior of the building. We received the new components for installation and have requested an inspection date which has come after the start date of the painting project. It is with our deepest regrets, once again the painting and our ability to wash the windows is on hold until we can re-certify the equipment. Our original vendor is no longer qualified to inspect this brand of window washing/maintenance equipment and have hired SafeWorks, Spider (manufacturer of our equipment) to inspect our equipment for re-certification on Thursday, September  14.  We are using every means possible to re-certify our buildings equipment as soon as possible.

Building Painting Project Resumes Wednesday, August 23rd


Setting up equipment and rigging begins on August 22nd and painting begins on August 23rd on the North Facade of the North & South Tower.

The exterior building paint project begins on the North Facade of the North and South Tower from August 23-September 29.  Once complete with the North Facade, we will move to the West Facade where we will finish painting areas that have not been painted (we are not repainting what has already been painted).  Upon completion of the West Facade, we will paint the East Facade, and then South Facade. Lastly, we will paint the exterior of the 1st and 2nd floors, and the Town Homes.  If your unit is not listed below, we are not painting your area just yet and will send you notice of the start date for your Facade prior to commencing.

For the Units listed below, please remember to remove all balcony items by Wednesday, August 23rd.  Large heavy tables may be covered by the vendor.  Don’t forget to close your doors, windows, and window coverings.
